WIN Golf League Format & Rules

  • The League: The league consists of 12 teams to 18 teams, each comprising 3 players on the night. The league will be split into groups depending on the number of teams entered. Teams will compete over 9-holes each night in a round-robin head to head matchplay format.

  • Timing:  Each team will play once a week head to head over a 8 to 12 week period from the 3rd February, with the semi finals & finals being held at the end of the season. The league nights will be held on a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday’s. Game times will be 5.00pm & 7.00pm.

  • Scoring Format: The competition format will be 2 players in a 4bbb & Singles Stableford. Both games will play head to head on the night against another team. Team set up will be sorted out prior to each round starting and you are able to change the team set up each week. Teams will not know each others team set up until team they are finalised on the night.

  • Teams: Teams will be made up of how ever many players you like but only 3 players can play on the night. Players playing in the finals will have to have played at least 1 game during the season to be eligible to play finals. Players are only able to play for one team.

  • Points System: Each match will be worth 3 points each.

    • ​3 points awarded to the team winning the 4bbb Matchplay.

    • 3 points awarded to the winner of the singles Matchplay.

    • In the case of a tie in either the 4BBB or the singles, there will be sudden death NTP playoff.

  • Wildcard: Each team will be able to use one wildcard through out the season which will give them double points for the wins on the night. The only catch to this is if you lose your opposing team will earn those double points.

  • Finals Series:

    • ​After the regular season, the top 4 teams will progress to the finals.

    • The 1st ranked team will face the 4th ranked team, while the 2nd ranked team will take on the 3rd. (If there are 3 groups in the Round Robin stage then team that finishes second with the most points will qualify 4th).

    • The finals will follow the same format as the regular season, except they will be played over 18 holes instead of 9.

    • In the finals, if any match ends in a tie. There will be a sudden death playoff.

  • Leaderboard: 
    • ​After each weekly round, team scores will be displayed on the WIN Golf League Ladder, giving players a live update on their progress.
  • League Prizes:
    • The team that emerges victorious at the end of the season will receive:
    • A WIN Golf League Trophy
    • Additional prizes for teams that made the final.
  • Handicapping:
    • Each player is required to have an individual handicap.
    • An official Golf Australia handicap (all players will play off ½ their AGU handicap).
    • All handicapping decisions, including adjustments, will be at the sole discretion of the WIN Golf League Coordinator, regardless of a player’s official Golf Australia handicap.
  • League Fees:
    • A fee of $20 per player (3 per night) is applicable for each weekly round. This fee will cover the usage of the Simulator, Comp Fee’s & a drink of your choice. (Beer, Wine or Softdrink)
    • Please hand nomination form into the Pro Shop by Friday 8th of November
